Massive congratulations go to Leslie Woods team Captain, Neil Glover, as he steered Ilford's team through to the semi finals for the first time in 28 years!

Ilford took a commanding lead of 4-1, at home to Canons Brook, in the morning foursomes before leaving us all on tenter hooks for the afternoon singles. Needing only 4 out of the 10 points available in the singles, it was left to Stuart Curran, playing in the penultimate match, to sink the winning putt on the 17th hole before everyone could breath again.

Winning with a score of 8-7, Ilford are now through to the semi finals for the first time since 1982, where they will meet Channels Golf Club on neutral ground at Theydon Bois. The other semi final, contested between Theydon Bois and Warley Park will be hosted at Ilford on the same day, Sunday 8th August.
