14.06.2010 - Ilford's Leslie Woods team advance to quarter finals
Congratulations go to Neil Glover and his Leslie Woods team as they beat Langdon Hill 8-7 away from home to advance to the quarter final stages for the first time in over 20 years.
Ilford made a great start to proceedings by winning all the morning foursomes to lead 5-0 going into the afternoon singles. Nerve's were soon frayed though as they ground out an 8-7 victory to make it through to the quarter final stage of the competition.
Ilford face Canons Brook at home on Sunday 11th July in the quarter finals so please come down to support your team!

Ilford Golf Club's Leslie Woods team were narrowly defeated in the first round of the Essex Golf Union run competition yesterday, losing 9-6 away at Thorndon Park Golf Club.
Thursday evening saw Ilford Golf Club Captain, Jim Gallagher, open the much anticipated new par 4 4th hole.
Ilford Golf Club's Essex Seniors team overcame Burnham on Crouch on Monday in the first round of the county competition.
The Norman Plum team, captained by Andy Gray, were knocked out at the first hurdle on Saturday.
Ilford Golf Club have been drawn to play Romford Golf Club in the 4th round of the Mail on Sunday Classic team competition.
