It was an ace weekend for Ilford Golf Club's men's section this past weekend as Jim Gallagher and Terry Wheeler both had a hole in one in the weekend competitions.

Jim Gallagher holed his ace in the Saturday Stableford on the 211 yard par 3 13th hole. "I hit a nice drawing 3 wood, pitching just short of the hole before running up and dropping in..." said club director Jim Gallagher.

Terry Wheeler, playing in Sundays Captain and Pro Challenge, got the first ever hole in one on Ilford's new 165 yard par 3 4th hole. In very windy conditions, Terry hit a driver which pitched short of the green and ran up the approach before sinking in the hole.

The clubhouse was flowing with drinks after both hole in one feats where the traditional drinks are bought by the ace competitors!
