Ilford Golf Club is just a short hop from the City yet a world apart. Ilford Golf Club have managed to combine more than a century of tradition with modern comfortable surroundings. Built in 1907, Ilford Golf Club has enjoyed a magnificent history in East London.
Just a short journey from central London and bordering Essex, Ilford Golf Club is famous for its friendly atmosphere and wide ranging social activities. There are many social events held every month in the clubhouse and both members and visitors can enjoy the excellent club restaurant and bar facilities.
Members can play in golf club and in-house golf society competitions every week on our USGA standard 18 hole golf course. Ilford Golf Club is affiliated with the Essex Golf Union and the English Golf Union and competes annually in the Essex Golf Union team competitions, The Thornton Cup, The Leslie Woods Trophy and the Norman Plum Trophy. Ilford Golf Club members also have access to the snooker room with two full size snooker tables at their disposal.
Our flourishing junior golfers section is a very important feature of the club, of which we are justifiably proud. Ilford Golf Club is committed to the development of all junior golf members from a very young age.
Ilford Golf Club is also able to cater for all manner of business meetings in our newly refurbished conference room with free wireless internet access. For social functions, including weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, retirements or any other special occasion that you are planning, the club can offer for hire a fine lounge facility. Ilford Golf Club can also provide a full catering service for any functions.
Ilford Golf Club's resident PGA pro, Gary Cant, provides on course tuition and has a fully stocked pro shop stocking all the major brands including Ping, Callaway, Mizuno, Titleist, Cobra, Footjoy, Nike, Ashworth and Glenmuir amongst others. Ilford Golf Club's Leslie Woods team were narrowly defeated in the first round of the Essex Golf Union run competition yesterday, losing 9-6 away at Thorndon Park Golf Club.
Thursday evening saw Ilford Golf Club Captain, Jim Gallagher, open the much anticipated new par 4 4th hole.
Ilford Golf Club's Essex Seniors team overcame Burnham on Crouch on Monday in the first round of the county competition.
The Norman Plum team, captained by Andy Gray, were knocked out at the first hurdle on Saturday.
Ilford Golf Club have been drawn to play Romford Golf Club in the 4th round of the Mail on Sunday Classic team competition.
Mondays have gone mad at Ilford Golf Club for our pay and play customers! With half price green fee's on all Mondays in April.
